BOS WEEKLY UPDATE – July 27, 2017

Monthly Selectmen’s Newsletter coming soon!  To bolster communications with residents, we will be mailing  all households updates initially once a month starting in August.  We will send it electronically to those who want to provide an email address. 

MBTA Train service curtailed.  Please check MBTA website or the Town’s website for alternative bus schedules.

Town efforts to challenge the MBTA plans for 74' cell towers in Manchester continue.  Additional resident action is needed.  Please write Governor Baker to make your opinion heard: Governor of the Commonwealth - State House, Room 280 Boston, MA 02134.  Write Sec Stephanie Pollack at MA Department of Transportation 10 Park Plaza Boston, MA 02116.  Also please consider voicing your own opinion at the MBTA Control Board Meeting on Monday July 31 at 10am at 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA.

Volunteers Needed! We currently have 16 vacancies on various Boards & Committees open.  Please see the Town Administrator’s latest article in the Cricket or on the Town Website for more information

Lots of infrastructure work is underway causing some travel delays and disruption to water service.  Check for updates on the various projects at the DPW page of the Town’s web site.   

Town Hall Hours:  Thursday evenings Town Hall offices will remain open until 6:30PM beginning July 6.  The Building Inspector will hold office hours from 4:30PM to 6:30PM on Thursdays. 

Monday and Tuesday Trash, Recycling and Compost pick-up will be on the regular schedule.
