[ARCHIVED] BOS Weekly Update - July 21, 2016

The original item was published from July 26, 2016 10:06 AM to July 26, 2016 10:08 AM

Residents are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete an online survey regarding public safety operations. The survey will be open on the Town’s website through July 30.  Click here to start the survey.

With the persistent dry weather, the Commonwealth has declared a Drought Watch/Advisory. We ask that all residents be mindful of water consumption and request a voluntary curtailment of the use of outdoor sprinkler/irrigation systems. If the lack of rain continues, we will need to make this a mandatory curtailment.

At last, work is expected to start up again on the reconstruction of the boat ramp behind Town Hall.  Assuming final approval from the Finance Committee and Selectmen on Monday, a  slightly revised plan is ready to be constructed by a new, fully vetted and bonded contractor, North Shore Marine.  We also have in place CMA Engineers to oversee the new work.  The new ramp should be operational in September.
Trash, recycling and compost will be collected Monday and Tuesday, July 25-26. Bins should be placed at the curb by 7am.
