BOS WEEKLY UPDATE – May 10, 2018

Be Sure to Vote! Town Elections are  May 15.  The following candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the positions listed.  Housing Authority: (1 position) Beth Heisey & Allen Craige McCoy; Library Trustee (1 position) Richard Rogers; Moderator: Alan Wilson; Planning Board (2 yrs): (1 position) Christopher Olney & Mary Foley; Planning Board (3yrs): (2 positions) Loren Coons & Christine Delisio; School Committee (1 position) Shannon O’Brien Erdmann & Andre Kuehnemund; Selectmen (1 position) Rebecca S. Jacques.  Write-in candidates are also an option. In addition, there is a ballot question regarding the $400,000 capital exclusion funding for the Central Street dam and culvert project that voters approved at Town Meeting 

Round-about Trial: From May 14 through June 8 a new traffic pattern will be tried out at the intersection of Central/Pine/Bridge and Bennett Streets.  A small round-about will be laid out requiring a circular flow of vehicles at the intersection.  After the trial period a short survey will be available to assess reaction to the proposed change that the Downtown Improvement Committee has advanced.

Goal Setting Session planned:  The Selectmen will be meeting at the end of the month to identify the top priorities for the coming fiscal year that begins July 1.  What would be at the top of your list? We would love to hear your ideas.
