BOS WEEKLY UPDATE – June 6, 2019

Time to do some spring pruning!  With the help of Cape Ann Mass in Motion and the WalkBoston organization an audit was conducted of the walkability of the areas around the school.  An immediate need identified was the trimming of bushes, etc. that encroach on sidewalks.  Property owners are reminded to trim their plantings so that branches do not extend into the sidewalks. Additional recommendations from the walk audit will be forthcoming.

June Meeting Dates: The Selectmen meetings in June will be the 10th and the 24th. This deviates from our normal first and third Monday meetings in order to accommodate various travel schedules.

Volunteer Opportunities: Every June the Selectmen make appointments to our numerous town boards and committees.  We rely on literally hundreds of you to volunteer to help in the smooth operations of town government.   A volunteer application form is available on the Town’s web site.  Please contact Sonja Nathan at 978-526-2000 or for more information.

Trash, Recycling, Compost: Normal Monday and Tuesday collections. Remember, do not place your recycled materials in a plastic bag or add any plastic bags to your recycling bin!
