BOS Updates November 8, 2019
Congratulations to Police Chief Todd Fitzgerald: We removed “interim” from Todd’s title at our meeting this week ratifying his appointment as our next Chief of Police. A swearing-in ceremony is planned for Thursday, November 14, at 7PM at the Masonic Lodge behind Town Hall. The public is invited.
And congratulations to the Sustainability Committee: Last week’s talk and showing of the film “Bag it!” along with the Sustainability Fair the next day drew many interested residents and advanced efforts to help us all have a lighter footprint on the environment. Go green!
Fall Town Meeting November 19! The articles are set for a fall Town Meeting on Tuesday, November 19 in the gymnasium of the Memorial School. The full warrant is on the Town web site or available at Town Hall.
Budget Development Season is here: Have ideas for improved municipal services? Have a suggestion on how to provide services more efficiently? This is a great time to let us know as we are in the early stages of developing the FY21 budget. A preliminary budget will be presented December 2.
Trash, Recycling, Compost: Delayed a day due to Veteran’s Day – Monday pick-ups will be on Tuesday and Tuesday pick-ups will be on Wednesday. Please remember NOT to use plastic bags for your recycled goods!
