BOS Updates November 20, 2019
A Civic Minded Citizenry! We want to extend two important thank you notes: First, to the large crowd that came to witness the badging ceremony for newly appointed Police Chief Todd Fitzgerald -- it was a wonderful crowd and the words expressed by our new Chief quite heart-felt. Congratulations Chief!
And secondly, to voters who came out Tuesday evening for the Special Town Meeting – our local governance depends on voters to make many important decisions for the Town and we greatly appreciate your commitment to doing your part.
Last Call: A volunteer or two is still needed to help in the selection of our new Fire Chief. The review process will be getting underway in December. Please contact Sonja Nathan in the Selectmen’s Office if this is of interest to you.
Next Selectmen’s Meeting: Our next meeting is December 2. Agenda items will include a preliminary FY21 Budget presentation, updates on the intersection layouts at School & Central and Union & Beach, and further discussion on speed limits/traffic calming with a particular focus on Mill and Forest Streets. The meeting starts at 6:30.
Trash, Recycling, Compost: Regular pick-up schedule. Please remember NOT to use plastic bags for your recycled goods!
