BOS Updates – September 7, 2020.

Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2020 in observance of Labor Day.

Community Preservation Committee: The Manchester Community Preservation Committee (CPC) invites Town boards, committees, organizations, and residents to submit proposals for CPA funding. The opening of the CPC application season will begin at the Thursday September 23, 2020 meeting at 6 p.m. Information for access to this meeting can be found on the Town website. CPC applications will be accepted until December 1, 2020.

Police Chief Office Hours: Chief Fitzgerald will hold his monthly office hours on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Please check Town website for location. He invites all residents to stop by.

9/11 Memorial Service: Join the Manchester-by-the-Sea Fire Department and Police Department at the 19th Anniversary 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony outside at the Fire Station on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Harbormaster Update: The MA Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) issued an amendment to the MA Phase 3 Recreational Boating Guidelines. All users while on boat ramps, docks and piers shall follow social distancing. Rafting-up or tying-up of boats is limited to no more than 3 vessels. All recreational boating is subject to the discretion of local officials, harbormasters, and law enforcement. All local rules, regulations, laws and U.S. Coast Guard requirements still apply.

Phase 3 of MBTS Parks and Beaches: MBTS Beaches are open 7 days a week to residents only. Staffed from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. by Parks and Recreation and/or Manchester Police Department. Walk-on passes must be visible on every resident between 12 and 65 years old for admittance. A face covering is required when entering and exiting the beach ramp. Parking lot is open to residents only with 2020 Beach Stickers. Please see the Town website to read the complete rules and guidelines.

Town Hall Payment Drop Box: Installed at the rear of Town Hall by the Police Station Blue Door and monitored by a security camera. Please use this convenient box to drop payments off for any Town Bills. Please No Cash!

Trash, Recycling, Compost: Collection will be delayed by 1 day due to the Labor Day Holiday.
