BOS Weekly Update - October 25, 2016

Early Voting is underway at Town Hall through November 4. Hours are Monday through Wednesday 8:30am to 5pm, Thursday 8:30am to 8pm, Friday 8:30am to 4pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm. Please contact the Town Clerk’s office at 978-526-2040 with questions.


The Town website now features a Budget Information page, which includes FY 2018 budget goals and a timeline for budget development, as well as the FY2017 budget. Documents will be added to the site as they become available.


Due to the recent King tides and scheduling challenges, the paving of the new boat ramp will now take place the week of November 7. In the meantime, please email Harbormaster Bion Pike or call 978-473-2520 to schedule use of the boat ramp.


The Master Plan Committee presented its draft Vision Plan to the Board of Selectmen and the Planning Board at the October 24 Planning Board meeting. The Committee will further review the Vision Plan at its meeting on Wednesday, October 26 at 7pm at Seaside One. The town-wide water ban remains in effect. Please conserve water and honor the outdoor watering ban. No washing of cars, driveways or sidewalks. Hand-watering of plants and yards 5pm – 8am ONLY. Additionally, by order of the fire chief, all open burning is prohibited. No campfires, open flame cooking fires or recreational fires, including open fires on all town beaches. The use of charcoal cooking fires and gas cooking fires is allowed.


Trash, recycling and kitchen compost are collected weekly on appointed collection days. Please place bins at the curb no later than 7am.
