The next Selectmen's meeting is January 23rd. We are starting the meeting earlier, at 5pm, in order to finish the regular business we have prior to conducting a workshop at 7PM with the Finance Committee and the Master Planning Committee on town facility planning.
"Blue Light” season is here. Please monitor the weather and adhere to the on-street parking ban when the blue lights are turned on. Snow emergencies are also noted on the Town’s website and through the police dept. Facebook page.
Water conservation measures are still needed! Despite recent precipitation, totals are still significantly below normal and the Commonwealth has not changed the drought warning for our area. Please be mindful of your water consumption and conserve as much as possible.
The deadline for citizen petition articles for this year's Annual Town Meeting is Thursday, February 2nd. Petitions need a minimum of 10 signatures of registered voters.
With approval by the Planning Board on January 9, the Master Plan Visioning Report is final. Master Plan Visioning Report is available on line, with hard copies available at the Library and Town Hall. In Phase II of the master planning process, kicking off soon, community members will be asked to help identify preferred land use options that will help the town move towards its vision.
The Manchester Affordable Housing Trust meets next on Tuesday January 24th, at 7pm.
For the month of January, Christmas tree pickup will be "as seen" on the curb. The trees will be composted, please make sure they are free of any décor and not in plastic.
Trash/compost/recycling pick up will resume its normal schedule, please have everything on the curb by 7 am.
