Thank you to all those who attended the Annual Town Meeting. We had good discussions on a range of budgetary and other items as well as a successful first time use of electronic voting (who knew 30 seconds could seem so long!)
Thanks, as well, to our Town Moderator, Administrator, all of the Town departments and committees that worked hard to bring all the information and organization to our meeting this week. We are grateful for their work and commitment to our town.
Finally, thank you to Paul Barclay for his six year service to the Town, we wish you the best!
Town Elections are next, including debt and capital expenditure exclusion votes, scheduled for
May 16th.
The next Board of Selectmen meeting will be held on Tuesday April 18th in Room 5. A presentation on the recently completed operations audit will be presented starting at 7pm. Also additional no parking zones will be the subject of a public hearing (note legal notice) as will the topic of a new multi-year contract with Comcast for local cable service.
The new
Short Term Paying Guest Bylaw is in place. Property owners renting to guests for less than 6 contiguous days are reminded to apply for a license with the Board of Selectmen. Enforcement steps will begin in April. Anyone with questions about the new bylaw should contact the Selectmen's Office.
Trash/compost/recycling pick up will run on its normal schedule, please have everything on the curb by 7 am.
Have a great week and enjoy the warmer temperatures!
