A reminder that the half of the year were dogs are NOT allowed on the beaches has arrived!

Town Elections are May 16, including debt and capital expenditure exclusion votes, at the Memorial School Gymnasium.

The Selectmen are committed to reviewing, assessing, and providing alternatives to support the efforts of our Firefighters ensuring a balance of public safety and fiscal responsibility.  The discussions that began during the winter's budget process will continue with a goal of solutions being developed by the fall.  Have ideas?  Let us know what you think.  Even better, consider becoming a call firefighter!

Phase II of the Master plan process is underway along with a new Complete Streets study that aims to improve safety, accessibility and convenience for all users of our streets and sidewalks.  Watch for upcoming meeting and forum announcements.  For more information about the Master Planning process consider attending MPC meetings the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, visit the Master Plan web site or contact Sue Brown, Town Planner at 978-525-6436.

The new Short Term Paying Guest Bylaw is in place.  Property owners renting to guests for less than 6 contiguous days are reminded to apply for a license with the Board of Selectmen. Enforcement steps will begin in April.  Anyone with questions about the new bylaw should contact the Selectmen's Office.

Trash, Recycling and Compost are running on the regular schedule.
