The Memorial Day ceremonies and parade were a success despite less than summer like weather!  Thank you to the American Legion for their leadership in organizing and to all the participants, especially our veterans.  These types of services help make Manchester special.  And thank you to the DPW crews for getting the cemeteries in tip top shape, again, in spite of the wet weather!

The new Paving work has been delayed by over a month due to the wet weather.  We are still hoping to have Pine Street redone by the end of June as well as the re-striping of the roads, especially Bridge Street and School Street.  Come on sun!

Harbor Security Cameras are being offered through a collaborative grant effort of the US Coast Guard and the MA Harbormaster’s Association.  The Selectmen will be reviewing Manchester’s participation in this effort at the June 5th Meeting.

The Outdoor Water Ban has been removed for now. Residents are encouraged to continue to conserve water.  A new tiered water rate structure is being developed that will provide financial incentives to use less water.  The proposal will be the subject of a public hearing at the June 5th Selectmen’s meeting.

Trash, Recycling and Compost pick-up will resume its regular schedule.
