All dogs must be licensed by March 31st each year. If your dog is already licensed in town, you will receive a renewal form in the mail at the beginning of January. You may either renew your dog’s license by mail or in person at the Town Clerk’s office. Local veterinarians notify the Clerk’s office when a new rabies shot is given and we keep it on file.
If a dog has not been licensed before, you must provide a certificate from your veterinarian showing when the rabies shot was given and when it expires. Puppies should be licensed as soon as they have had their first rabies shot. New dogs moving in to Manchester should be licensed immediately.
Unlicensed dogs will be ticketed by the Animal Control Officer.
Dog licenses cost $25.00 for male or female dogs, and $20.00 for spayed or neutered dogs.
