New Citizen Survey: The development of our new master plan is entering a critical phase as we work to develop specific action steps that will advance the Shared Community Vision developed earlier. Tell us how you think we should manage new development going forward by completing a new on-line survey. What are the lasting legacies we should be creating today for future generations?
October 16 Town Meeting: Voters are encouraged to attend the upcoming Town Meeting where eleven articles covering a range of bylaw amendments and other town business will be debated. Look for the complete wording of the articles on the Town’s web site and a summary in our October Newsletter delivered to each household.
New Town-wide Speed Limits: Town roads will have a maximum speed limit of 25MPH outside of the village core area unless otherwise posted. A new Safety Zone, with a 20MPH limit will be established for all roads within a mile of the Train Station. Watch your speed!
Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan: Public comments are welcome on the new hazard mitigation plan that is now in draft form. The draft includes projections about possible greater flooding threats induced by climate change, impacting lower lying coastal properties and those lands abutting streams. The draft plan can be found on the Town’s web site.
Budget Season begins soon: The development of the FY19 budget, to be voted on at April’s Annual Town Meeting, will get underway soon. The Town Administrator presents a preliminary budget in December and starts working with Department heads now. Satisfied with services from the various town departments? Have recommendations for ways to improve services? Now is a good time to let us know.
Holiday Schedule for Trash, Recycling and Compost. Pick up will be a day later next week: Monday pick up will be on Tuesday; Tuesday on Wednesday.
