Residents interested in serving on a candidate review panel for a new Police Chief and new Fire Chief should send a letter of interest to the Board of Selectmen/Town Administrator at Town Hall by June 13. A public forum to discuss the option of having one public safety director instead of a police chief and a fire chief will be held on July 18.
Stricter enforcement of the prohibition of parking on sidewalks is underway. On town roads where there is no curbing, vehicles may park off the road as long as they are not on the sidewalk.
Work to repair the stone arch culvert on Central Street near Seaside 1 is about to start. Traffic delays should be minimal as the work entails stone work in the stream channel.
The final push is on to raise the funds necessary to make this year’s 4th of July parade and fireworks display a grand success. Raffle tickets and donations may be dropped off at the Parks and Recreation office at Town Hall.
