Greetings! My name is Heather Snider and I am the Director of the Hornets After School Program.  I’d like to invite you to join us for the 2009-2010 Hornets After School Program. 

The program started in January 2007. Currently, we have grown to over 30 families and have become an important part of the community.  The Memorial School staff and Principal Dr. Jack Mara have been wonderful! This is my  second year running the program and my prior experience has taught me that in order to be successful in this business, you need a strong backing.  We have the unwavering support of the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department and the Manchester-Essex Regional School District.

Monthly Tuition Fees

1 Day Per Week  
$66.00 per month
2 Days Per Week
$132.00 per month
3 Days Per Week
$198.00 per month
4 Days Per Week
$264.00 per month
5 Days Per Week

*Please note that we offer a 10% sibling discount and finanicial assistance is available to those who qualify. Monthly tuition fees for this program also automatically include  participation in all Early Release Days at no additional cost..

PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Hornets After School Program is a full time after school program that offers a safe, supportive alternative between school and home for the children of Manchester-by-the-Sea and Essex in grades K-6.  The program runs daily from 3:00-6:00 p.m and is held at the Manchester Elementary School.  The program is licensed by the Massachusetts  Department of Early Education & Care. 
 

WHAT WE DO DAILY
This program is designed for children in Grades K-6 to have some fun after school.  Activities include checkers, jump rope, air hockey, four square, ping pong, bumper pool, puzzles, sports, outdoor play, open gym, arts and crafts, homework time, seasonal activities, field trips and snack time daily.  The following list is a typical schedule:

3:00 - 3:30 p.m.                Check-in/Snack

3:30 - 4:45 p.m.                Outdoor/Gym Activities

4:45 - 5:30 p.m.                Supervised Homework Time

5:30 - 6:00 p.m.                Free time/ Arts and Crafts

6:00 p.m.                       Parent Pick up/Check-out
